College students suffer from psychological confusion and conflict caused by stress, showing intertwines of ideological and mental problems. Ideological and political education has to show concern for these problems and conduct psychological guidance so as to nip psychological problems in the bud. This paper, taking five psychological problems of college students as the starting point, discusses the role of psychological guidance in ideological and political education and its specific procedures.
