PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is a kind of water soluble polymers, produced by hydrolyzing the polyvinyl ace-tate , it has strongly hydrophilicity, excellent film-forming, good spinnability, also good mechanical properties. It is not easily polluted by environment, has good ability of physical , chemical stability, good biodegradability and the biocompati-bility. This preview summarized three applications of PVA in the electrospinning, the phase change materials ,membrane fouling and some discussions about these.
