对高功率法布里-泊罗腔(F-P)掺Yb双包层光纤激光器进行理论和实验研究.通过推导光纤激光器速率方程,得到了光纤激光器输出功率、斜率效率和阈值泵浦功率的解析表达式.重点讨论了F-P腔腔镜反射率对光纤激光输出的影响.在实验中,利用D型双包层掺Yb光纤获得了输出功率10.6 W,斜率效率86%的连续激光输出.理论分析与实验结果一致.

In this paper, high power Yb-doped double-clad fiber (DCF) lasers with Fabry-Perot (F-P) laser cavity are studied in theories and experiments. Deriving from the rate equations model of fiber lasers, we get the explicit expressions of output powers, slope-efficiencies and thresholds of fiber lasers. We focus our discuss on F-P cavity and get some valuable results. A maximum cw output power of 10.6W, and slope efficiency of 86% are observed with the Yb-doped D-shaped double-clad fiber laser in experiments. Also experimental results are coincident with theoretical analysis.
