“教学是漫的艺术”是张文质老师提出的重要观点，某种程度上说，它是教育顺应学生生命发展的一种理性回归。即使是知识的获得，经常是一个困难、艰苦、缓慢的过程；慢是一种科学，更是一种战略战术。在平时教学活动中，速度要放慢，慢下来，教师才能注意到每位学生的困难并及时给予帮助，使学生在有了初步的自我意识后，多给他们提供创造、交流经验、合作学习的机会，逐渐增强自信心和自我力量。
