The article introduces the statistical monitoring method on major safety risks of the Wiggins gasholder. The author collected and processed the data according to the major safety risks of the piston plate in the seal system and the equalizing piston in the leveling system, and the key process parameters. Through the statistical analysis method, the author found some experience which can be used to guide the operation and maintenance of the Wiggins gasholder, which has benefited the control of risks and the operation maintenance of the author’s company’s 50 000 –cubic-meter Wiggins gasholder.
