2008年12月,西南大学家蚕基因组研究团队宣布了世界上第1张家蚕基因组精细图谱的诞生.家蚕基因组精细图和2003年发布的家蚕基因组框架图相比,具有基因覆盖度高、基因组组装更加完整、基因鉴定更加准确等特点.2009年,该研究团队在家蚕基因组精细图的基础上,选取具有代表性的29个家蚕突变品系和11个不同地理来源的中国野桑蚕品系进行了全基因组重测序与序列比较分析,共获得了29个家蚕突变品系和11个中国野桑蚕地理品系的全基因组序列,绘制完成了世界上第1张基因组水平上的蚕类单碱基遗传变异图谱,同时还发现了驯化对家蚕生物学性状影响的基因组印记,从全基因组水平上揭示了家蚕的起源进化.2009年8月,<Science>杂志发表了西南大学的研究论文"40个蚕类基因组的重测序揭示了家蚕的驯化事件及驯化相关基因",标志着家蚕基因组计划进入一个新的历史阶段.
2008年12月,西南大學傢蠶基因組研究糰隊宣佈瞭世界上第1張傢蠶基因組精細圖譜的誕生.傢蠶基因組精細圖和2003年髮佈的傢蠶基因組框架圖相比,具有基因覆蓋度高、基因組組裝更加完整、基因鑒定更加準確等特點.2009年,該研究糰隊在傢蠶基因組精細圖的基礎上,選取具有代錶性的29箇傢蠶突變品繫和11箇不同地理來源的中國野桑蠶品繫進行瞭全基因組重測序與序列比較分析,共穫得瞭29箇傢蠶突變品繫和11箇中國野桑蠶地理品繫的全基因組序列,繪製完成瞭世界上第1張基因組水平上的蠶類單堿基遺傳變異圖譜,同時還髮現瞭馴化對傢蠶生物學性狀影響的基因組印記,從全基因組水平上揭示瞭傢蠶的起源進化.2009年8月,<Science>雜誌髮錶瞭西南大學的研究論文"40箇蠶類基因組的重測序揭示瞭傢蠶的馴化事件及馴化相關基因",標誌著傢蠶基因組計劃進入一箇新的歷史階段.

In December 2008, the silkworm genome research team of Southwest University of China announced that the first fine genome map of domesticated silkworm (Bombyx mori) was completed in the world. Compared to the draft genome sequences released in 2003, the fine map is characterized by its deeper gene coverage, more complete genome assembly, and more accurate genetic identification etc. In 2009, based on the fine genome map of domesticated silkworm, this research team selected 29 representative domesticated silkworm strains and 11 wild silkworm strains from various geographic locations in China for re-sequencing and sequence comparative analyses. As a result, the whole genome sequences of 29 mutant strains of domesticated silkworm and 11 geographic strains of Bombyx mandarina M. were obtained. And the first genome-wide single-base genetic variation map of silkworm was generated. Meanwhile, genomic imprints relevant to the influence of domestication on silkworm biological characters were discovered, revealing important origination and evolutionary events of silkworm on genome-wide level. In August 2009, the report titled "Complete Resequencing of 40 Genomes Reveals Domestication Events and Genes in Silkworm (Bombyx)" of Southwest University was published in Science, signaling that the Silkworm Genome Project has entered a new historical phase.
