In this review, recent progresses in catalytic synthesis of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and characterization of their structure and texture as well as the probable applications in the areas, such as hydrogen storage, electronic devices, polymer additive and catalyst support material, are summarized and briefly reviewed, with an emphasis on description of the research progress in our laboratory here.
