According to the requirements of the urban intelligent public bus dispatch system, how to design the intelligent public bus vehicle equipment including hardware and software is described, through taking C8051F040 mierocontroller as control center, combining with GPS, GPRS and phonic technique. The equipment can transform the real-time information to the dispatch center, such as longitude, latitude, speed, direction, etc, also it can implement some functions, such as automatic sound station, fault alarming, etc, and can be easily used by dispatch center to monitor and control the public bus. The equipment has been tested in laboratory, and has a lot of features such as high stability, low power consumption, etc.
