In order to ascertain the definitude dimensional orientation of the laser footprint in comparison with the optical image, this paper constructed a laboratory laser imaging system which was an integration of laser rangefinder and CCD camera. By image registration and fusion to the experimental data, a three dimensional laser image including the target distance and intensity information was generated.
