Transition metal sulfides attracted much interest because of their striking properties and promising applications,especially nanoscaled metal sulfides.The basic characteristics of nanoscaled WS2 and MoS2 were presented.The main methods of preparing for molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfide were introduced,which were natural preparing method and artificial method.Their advantages and disadvantages of two methods were discussed,while the lubricating properties and various applications were summerized.
