Once the reverse accident of conveyor belt happened,it would be subsequent on damage of the machine and injury or death of the staff.The application of monodirectional roller as an anti-reverse and deslicking measure for upward inclined belt conveyor is introduced.The friction braking principle of the monodirectional roller is described.It is verified by mechanical analysis and experiments.The measure reduces the risk of reverse and slide down accident of the belt.The practical test result shows that the working performance of monodirectional roller is reliable.
