The running and application situation of device for recovering acetylene from carbide slag slurry, which was developed and designed by Chlor-Alkali Branch Co. of Taiyuan Chemical Industry Co. , Ltd. , were introduced. Taking 100 kt/a PVC production as example, the average flow rate of recovered acetylene ( with purity 95 vol%) was 40 000 m^3 per year, or 1 336 tons of calcium carbide per year.
