A simplified Hybrid-Ⅲ dummy model is built by using analysis tool MADYMO and the factors affecting chest deflection are discussed.The chest is divided into four areas and it is found that they have different sensitivities to chest impact.The analysis on the constraint system for complete vehicle further ascertains the specific effects of the position of safety belt on chest deflection.
