Serious transverse crack occurred to Q 235B hot rolling coil plate when welded pipes were formed .By a-dopting metallurgical test , property test and scanning electron microscope analysis , it was concluded that the rupture was low stress brittleness , which have relation to a large amount of nonmetallic inclusion existing in steel plate , unqual-ified elongation and impact power as well as lower plasticity of plate blank caused by unideal hot rolling temperature control .
