A set of systematical experiments were carried out in order to validate the simulation model described in the preceding two parts of the study. The parameters fluctuating characteristics in this cooler, influencing relations between the compression piston and the free displacer, and the effects of cold-tip temperatures and phase-adjusting clearance gaps on cooler performances, were intensively investigated. In the meantime, the cooler performances were examined. The minimum coldtip temperature was used as a criteria of refrigeration performance. Real-time measurements of gas pressures in different chambers, displacements of the compression piston and the free displacer, were performed in order to reveal the internal physical processes. The gas pressure has amplitude reduction and phase delay from the compressor to cold chamber. The displacer vidtation system has more complicated influence on the compressor vibration system. The method of the compressor vibration system on the displacer vibration system make gas pressure variation. The experimental results are found to be in good agreement with the simulated ones.
