Software reliability engineering is one of the most important branches of software engineering. It is based on the theories of operational profile, probability, mathematical statistics, software testing and so on. With thorough study on the theory of J-M model, software reliability engineering, the theory of software testing and probability theory, the paper presents the model of software reliability testing based on the modularization of software, meanwhile, the estimation model for the life of software is given. This paper concludes with discussing the influences of parameters on the model.
