According to many research reports,the common characteristic in micro-configuration and the crystallographic orientation of micro-bands formed by high-velocity impact deformation are summerized.After comparing several kinds of forming mechanisms of micro-bands during impacting,the cross-slipping mechanism are found and It's thought that the second-slipping are more reasonable for high-velocity impact deformation.The stacking fault energy(SFE) and the crystal structure of the targets are regarded to be two main important influencing factors.The interaction between the microbands and grain boundaries,as well as the effect on the anti-impact property are generalized in brief.At last,several directions of further research for micro-bands are suggested.
