Basic concept of compression modulus, deformation modulus of pile and composite modulus of composite foundation are reviewed. Two kinds of expression on calculating composite modulus are introduced. Relative factors affecting on composite modulus are discussed. Through application on composite foundation made of different kinds of pile, rationality and problems of the two types of expression calculatingcomposite modulus are evaluated.
