The application of software Simplorer to radar transmitter system simulation is presented in this paper. The typical grid pulsed modulator is modeled and simulated by the software Simplorer. For the sake of better guiding the practical design using sim-dated results, some parameters such as leakage inductance and distributed capacitance are introduced in the transformer of the modulator in simulation to analyze their effect on the properties of the modulator. Moreover, the modulator is also simulated under the condition of different driving currents as well as removing the discharge circuit. The simulation is in good agreement with practi-cal results, and demonstrates the feasibility of Simplorer simulation in radar transmitter system design.
