Using Hongquan bentonite from Jinchang Area, Gansu Province as raw materials and adopting the method of orthogonal test, the feasibility of preparing activated clay by Hongquan bentonite is analysed and proofed. The results show that the bentonite can be prepared into activated clay, even can be prepared into activated clay with high decolorization rate on certain conditions.
