Based on the formidable natural condition and fragile ecosystem of the Manasi River Basin, the basic frame of the early warning index system for the eco-environment of the basin is constructed herein by taking the model of "pressure-status-response as the theoretical model on the basis of the important role of the early environmental warning mechanism of the early warning index system.
