A ncw kind of vinyl chloride convcrtcr has been devclopcd and put into practice. Both the thcorctical analysis and thc actual production performance havc showed that this new kind of vinyl chloride convcrtcr could increase production capacity by more than 50% and at thc samc timc savc catalyst consumption by more than 50% comparing with the traditional vinyl chloride convcrtcr, given thc samc convcrtcr dimcnsion and numbcr of tubcs. The adoption of this ncw kind of converter will produce enormous economic benefits and social benefits.
