Based on constant current discharge, an intelligent detection method for lead-acid battery capacity and internal resistance was introduced. Based on this method, an intelligent detector for lead-acid battery was designed. Its main control chip was C8051f350MCU. A PID algorithm, some signal converting circuits in C8051f350MCU and some advanced integrated circuits were adopted. Discharge current could be properly adjusted according to actual situation. The detection theory, some methods of circuit design .and soft design about this detector were described in detail. Some key techniques about the design of detector were put forward. The detector has the advantages of easy to be operated, high reliability, high-precision of detection.
