Methods of water hardness determining were reviewed.As EDTA complexo-metric titration,spectrophotometry,atomic absorption spectroscopy,inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometery(ICP-AES),ion chromatographic,automatic potentiometric titration,and ion selectivity electrode were specially discussed.The advantages and disadvantages of various methods were compared,and development trend of the determination was considered.
