韩愈的“不平则呜”的思想在中国传统的“愤而著书”的理论体系中起着重要的作用，而且作为一种具有争议的理论，尤其是对其情感内涵的理解更是争论不已。就事和就文章之争这两个主要的原则，为我们提供了理解的视角和可能。如果我们进行切实研究，其内涵不言而喻。按照韩愈的艺术创作实践及理论关系的深度和狂热度，从时间背景来看，不平的情感内涵可以看做是社会不公平、不公正的消极情感。

Hart Yu＇s theory of ＂protesting because of unfairness＂ plays an important role in Chinese traditional theoretical system of ＂writing due to indignation＂. It is a controversial theory because arguments have arisen over the understanding of emotional connotation. Arguing over affairs and arguing over articles are two main principles which provide us with perspective and possibility of understanding. If we investigate practically, the connotation will appear itself. The emotional connotation of unfairness should be seen as the result of negative emotions which are based on social unfairness and unjustness in terms of time according to Han Yu＇s art creational practice and theory relationship in wildness and depth.
