This paper analyzes the selection of fire-extinguishing systems on green ships by comparing the principles of current fire-extinguishing systems in service, and mainly analyzes the high-expansion foam fire-extinguishing systems and the pressure water vapor fire-extinguishing systems, to help the designers select safer, more environmental friendly, more efficient and more economical fire-extinguishing systems in new type green ship designs.
