壁画作为一种文化的载体，其所蕴含的人文精神是壁画的精髓，现代壁画传承传统壁画的色彩运用、社会功能、材质选取、创作技法等元素才有了今天的成就，而对于文化的传承则是壁画对于其它构成元素传承的脉络所在。因此，从色彩、社会功能、材质等方面去分析现代壁画艺术的文脉传承，是具有一定可行性和实用价值的。
