In order to consider the actual interaction between the hull and the stern structure without increasing the amount of work immensely, a mixed model was established by SuperSAP in which three-dimensional plane-beam model is constructed for the stern structure and the one-dimensional beam model is constructed for the rest of the hull. How to realize the dynamic coupling between the three-dimensional stern structure and the one-dimensional beam model is an important problem. Two projects were employed and the comparison of computation indicates that the method developed in this paper is reliable at the establishment of the mixed model.
