中国以令世界惊叹的“中国速度”创造了经济增长和国家崛起的神话，然而片面追求增速的发展模式所造成的弊病也日益凸显：资源环境问题日趋严重、千城一面、文脉丢失、城市中的人生活不堪重负……而着眼于保持城市特色、提高生活品质等的“慢城”，其思想内核与宜居、低碳、可持续等不谋而合，成为建设美丽城乡①的一种新路径。本文对国内外研究进行了梳理，主要回顾了国内理论与实践研究的进程，结合中国特色，分析了慢城的适用范围、慢城与其它可持续发展的城市形式的耦合关系、慢城旅游、慢城对于中国启示与意义等，最后对中国的慢城发展进行了展望。

China has made a myth of economic growth and the rise of country by the extraordinary“China Speed”, however, the evils caused by the one-sided pursuit of economical growth is increasingly highlighted. Such as the increasingly serious problem of resources and environment, same imagines of the city, the lost of city’s literature line and the unbearable pressure of life in cities, etc. Aiming at the preservation of local characteristics and improvement of living quality, cittaslow happened to coincide with those concept of livable, low carbon, sustainable, etc, soon becoming a new path of beautiful urban-rural construction. The article generalizes the research both at home and abroad, mainly reviews the domestic research on theory and practice of cittaslow. Combined with Chinese characteristics, it analysis the scope of cittaslow, its coupling relations with other urban form aiming at sustainable development, tourism in cittaslow, application signiifcance of cittaslow in China and so on. Final y, it makes an outlook of China’s cittaslow.
