The silica sol was used as binder and quartz sand as refractory in wet method of building lining for medium frequency induction furnace. Silica sol is water-based and it can wet the sand surface well. In the process of mixing the powder sticks to the surface of sand grains to form agglomerate, so that a dense lining with prolonged service life can be obtained.
