A microbial flocculant Purrullans was adopted to treat concentrated wastewater of monosodium gluta mae production. The flocculating process and their optimal reaction condition were researched experimentally. The results show that as a pre-treatment of high concentrated wastewater, COD and SS levels decrease effectively by this process without any pH regulation.
