Through the study on the metallurgical effects of the tundish with capacity expansion and the former tundish in No.2 Steelmaking Plant of WISCO by computer modeling and hydraulic model as well as the production practice, we have obtained that the steel quality can be improved, the production be stable and therefore the quality of concast slabs the improved by the use of the tundish with capacity expansion.
