The issue of signal correlation is likely confused in array signal processing. In some published literatures, the muhipath signals were simply considered as coherent signals, and then incorrect conclusion was obtained in simulation experiments. Starting from basic concept of signal correlation, expressions of cross correlation coeffi- cient are derived from single frequency signal and band-pass signals. In addition, the correlation of multipath sig- nals is discussed and the corresponding parameters associated with muhipath time delay signal are also indicated. Finally, the conclusions in the paper are validated by computer simulations.
