The working principle of remote control safety warning system in coal mine using PSTN telephone network is intro-duced, which is based on the single chip microcomputer AT89S52 and DTMF signaling decoder chip MT8870. The implement methods of various functions of ringing detection, simulation of picking up and hanging up the telephone, DTMF signaling decoder, password detection and input signal analysis and processing are clarified from the hardware interface and the software design aspects.
