肝脏具有独特的免疫耐受特性.如肝脏移植物能克服主要组织相容性复合物(MHC)的不同而长期存活,能在宿主没有接受免疫抑制治疗的情况下被宿主自然接受,也能诱导宿主产生供体特异性耐受等.肝脏自然耐受的形成与众多机制相互联系、相互作用,但其机制目前仍不清楚.

It has been proposed that the liver possesses special properties of immune tolerance, liver allognrafts can be accepted indefinitely in some species across major histocompatibility complex (MHC) barrier without immunosuppressive treatment to recipients. On the basis of experimenta] studies and clinical evidence, we re-view the possible mechanisms which may contribute to liver transplantation tolerance. These mechanisms are not mutually exclusive and transplantation tolerance may be the results of several of these mechanisms operating simultaneously or sequentially.
