The fluid bed fluidization characteristics parameters of gas -phase polyethylene pilot plant were determined by the cold model experiments. The initial fluidization velocity and gas flow rate were defined from the relationship between bed pressure drop and gas flow rate. The initial loading height of the bed was obtained due to the influence of the gas flow rate on bed expansion ratio.
