“以人为本”在中西历史文化长河中思想丰富源远流长，却由于理论本身的缺陷停留于空想。当代“以人为本”之所以能超越空想，立足科学，成为现实的可能，关键在于马克思发动人学史上哥白尼式的革命，克服了以往一切人学理论的缺陷：从“抽象的人”转向“现实的人”；从人的“既成本质”转向“生成本质”；从“工具迷失”转向“工具复归”；从“英雄史观”转向“群众史观”。

The people-centered ideology has a long history in the Western world, but it has been a fantasy because of defects in the theory itself. Contemporarily, the people- centered ideology has gone beyond fantasy and become a real possibility, owing to the Copernican revolution launched by Marx in the human history. From the ＂abstract man＂ to ＂real people＂; from the ＂Tools Lost＂ to ＂tool reversion＂; from the people of the ＂de facto nature＂ to ＂produce nature＂; from ＂ hero history＂ to ＂the history view＂, the Marxist Human Revolution has overcome the shortcomings of all human theory in the past.
