The relation between coupling efficiency with coupling (interaction) length and between the coupling efficiency with the neck taper cross section width after melting and drawing are calculated and analyzed. It is a key technique for manufacturing single-mode fibers melting taper optical wavelength division multiplever. It also provides scientific basis for raising productivity.
