“协优962”是江西抚州市农业科学研究所育成的杂交晚稻新组合。1999、2000年该组合参加江西晚稻中熟组区试,熟期、产量、米质均优于同类组合“汕优10号”,具有高产、稳产、米质优、抗性强等特点,适合于江西作二晚种植。对“协优962”选育的体会作了讨论。

A new hybrid late rice combination“Xieyou 962” was bred by Agricultural Sciences Institute of Fuzhou City in Jiangxi Province. In the middle-maturing group of Jiangxi late rice regional tests conducted in 1999 and 2000, “Xieyou 962” had shorter growth and developmental duration, higher yield and better rice quality than the contrast combination “Shanyou 10”. “Xieyou 962” is characterized by high and stable yield, fine rice quality, strong disease resistance and so on. It is suitable to plant “Xieyou 962” as double cropping late rice in Jiangxi. The experience in “Xieyou 962” breeding was also discussed in this paper.
