Amino acids are the primary units of proteins. In this paper, solid complex of tryptophan with rare-earth element Eu(Ⅲ) was prepared by coprecipitation method. The complex was characterized by fluorescence, IR, Thermogram, scanning electron microscope. Furthermore, the complexing mechanism and complexing site were studied by 1H NMR and 13C NMR.
