The research and development of supercritical reaction applied in waste plastics are becoming the hot-point in the science and technology oversea.In this paper some methods of chemical decomposition in the recycling of different kinds of waste plastics have been reviewed,and the advantages and shortcomings between supercritical and conventional decomposition methods are also discussed and compared herein.The research results suggested that supercritical reac-tion,as a new approach will be applied to the treatment of waste plastics in the future.
