This paper gives a comprehensive review about pretreatment methods of residual tetra-cyclines in animal-origin foods,which includes solid phase extraction,solid phase micro-extraction, matrix dispersion technology, molecular imprinting technique and restriction matrix material. Different analytical techniques including high performance liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, microbiologial assay, enzyme-linked immunoassay and so on, are discussed.
