In this paper,it is investigated that the exact controllability of a Rayleigh system with a piezoelectric actuator. First,it is established that the regularity of the solution of the Rayleigh beam equation via the method of linear operator semigroup and lifting result[9]. Then,it is showed that exact L~2 -controllability for the system by applying the Hilbert u-niqueness method combined with some results from the theory of Diophantrne approximate.
