Under the normal operation of motor,the amplitude and phase of third harmonic voltage both changes when the active and reactive change,which resulting in the third harmonic voltage protection false tripping occurs.In this regard,the features of third harmonic voltage motor are introduced.The main features of stator grounding protection principle constituted of third harmonic voltage are discussed and analyzed.
