提出了一种采用新型分频器的小数分频频率合成器.该频率合成器与传统的小数分频频率合成器相比具有稳定时间快、工作频率高和频率分辨率高的优点.设计基于TSMC 0.25 μm 2.5 V 1P5M CMOS工艺,采用sigma-delta调制的方法实现.经测量得到该频率合器工作频率在2.400~2.850 GHz之间,相位噪声低于-95 dBc/Hz@100 kHz,最小频率步进小于30 Hz,开关时间小于50 μs,满足多数无线通信系统的要求.

A fractional-N frequency synthesizer with novel dividers is proposed. Compared with traditional fractional-N frequency synthesizer, the design shows good performance of fast settling time, high resolution with maximum working frequencies. The fractional-N frequency synthesizer with 3-order sigma-delta modulator is realized in TSMC 0.25 μm 2.5 V CMOS process. The working frequency is between 2.400 GHz to 2.850 GHz. The measured phase noise is lower than -95 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset, with ultra-small step size less than 30 Hz and the switching time of less than 30 μs, which meets the requirements for most wireless communication systems.
