The paper illustrates the climate changes in the globe, the difficulties of energy crisis and the international pressure in our country, analyzes the responsibilities of the urban planning, defines the zero carbon cities, explores methods to save the sources and to reduce the emission according to the traditional urban construction methods of China, meanwhile it also analyzes some relative theories of recent urban planning theories which are connected with the zero carbon cides, finally researches two cases which are construction, so as to give detailed construction channels for the zero carbon cities.
