Phosphotungstate Ti_3(PW_(12)O_(40))_4/TiO_2 was prepared and characterized.Its photocatalytic activity relating to oxidation of phenol in water was studied by using an ultraviolet lamp as the photochemical reaction instrument.The experimental conditions were optimized.The experimental results showed that the maximum rate of photocatalytic degradation was 86.5% and the degradation rate of TOC was 83.2% in the solution containing 10 mg/L of aqueous phenol when the dosage of catalyst was 1.5 g/L and the photocatalytic degradation duration was 7 h.Furthermore,the recyclability of catalyst was also investigated.
