A new method of simulating the cam curve based on the artificial NN theory is presented. By using MATLAB toolbox software, the high precision and fast simulation of cam curve can be implemented as well as the drive performance of the cam can be assured. The feasibility of the method is proved by a simulation example for model 491 cam.
