Optical fiber communication technology have been widely used in radio and television networks,computer networks and other data transmission systems.This paper introduces the concept of optical fiber communications,characteristics,and basic technology-Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology,on this basis,the development of the fiber-optical communication network was discussed.Finally,and the application of fiber-optical communication in broadcast television network was discussed.
