Some equivalent descriptions of the limited operators in Banach spaces between X and Y were given. Some propositions were got, which were compared with other kinds of operators (conditional weak compact operators, strict singularity operators, strict cosingularity operators). It was proved that all the limited operators constituted a real and closed surjective operator ideal.
